East Cork Gun Club is hosting a Clay Pigeon Shoot in aid of National Liver Transplant Unit, St Vincent’s Hospital, on 22nd October 2017 at Belvelly, Cobh, Co. Cork
There will be a 50 Bird shoot, €20
Novelty and have a go trap, €5
We all assembled in the Donkey on Tuesday evening as planned. Thanks to all the members who came in on the night to mark the occasion and well done to everyone who produced a bird or two for the Longest Cock, Heaviest Cock and Mixed Bag competitions.

There were some fine birds taken on the last day of the 2016/2017 season. The best of these were as follows:
Anthony Ryan – 6 species
(Pheasant, woodcock, snipe, pigeon, rabbit, teal)
Peter Halpin – 6 Species
(Rabbit, woodcock, pheasant, pigeon, mallard, snipe)
The night was made all the better by a serious spread of game to eat – venison burgers, sausages and steaks and a hearty stew. Many thanks to Martin for the the prep work and to Willie for all the hot work at the Barbeque and for making the stew.
